‘Do You Understand Nothing Of Context?'

I'm in love with you, but I can't find
The right way to say it
I'm in love with you, but I can't decide
On the right place to break it

Without the standard social aids
My personality traits
Are dull, lifeless and flat
I struggle to create
Sentences, and to remember names
So it's essential that you understand
That, until some divine ray
Of light elicits change
My heart is fragile, and it's in your hands

And I'm burning

I'm burning

I'm in love with you, but I can't find
The right way to say it
I'm in love with you, but I can't decide
On the right place to break it

Your perfectly functional brain
Renders you perplexed by those who strain
To instinctively act - and I can't
I'm not disinterested, or
Non-committal – it's more
That I'm shielding myself from haematological harm
Too many times before
I've found myself on the floor
Examining the veins that scale my arms

And I'm burning

I'm burning

I'm in love with you, but I can't find
The right way to say it
I'm in love with you, but I can't decide
On the right place to break it

And I'm burning

I'm burning

I'm in love with you, but I can't find
The right way to say it
I'm in love with you, but I can't decide
On the right place to break it.
